MP Ruff Meets with Local Beef Farmers Regarding Proposed Mercosur Trade Agreement

Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound – Following last week’s press release announcing an information session and press conference with local beef producers regarding concerns surrounding the proposed Mercosur trade agreement, MP Alex Ruff met with local beef farmers on Saturday, 16 May 2026, to discuss the potential impact the agreement could have on Canadian producers and rural communities.

MP Ruff also recorded a video discussion with participating farmers to help highlight these concerns and ensure local voices are heard as discussions surrounding the agreement continue.
